Overview

For Adult Basic Education (ABE)/GED prep classes follow the stepsbelow in order to become a student at 青青草视频.

Adult Basic Education (ABE)

If you want to improve your skills, prepare for the GED庐, and get training to prepare you for further education and careers, the SF Adult Education program is for you. Work in a classroom, online, or in an individualized learning lab staffed by trained, caring instructors. Take advantage of career preparation classes, individual assistance and workshops all designed to help you prepare for your next steps.

GED庐 Preparation

After you refresh your Adult Basic Education skills, begin preparing for the GED庐. You will get the opportunity to take GED庐 Ready tests, practice using the GED庐 calculator, and study targeted GED庐 skills. When you and your instructors think you are ready, you can sign up at ged.com to schedule your official GED庐 test. When you pass the GED庐 tests, you will earn a State of Florida high school diploma, which will enable you to pursue further education and advance in the job market.

The GED庐 consists of four content-area assessments:

  • Reasoning through Language Arts (RLA), which tests a student's ability to read closely, write clearly, and edit and understand written text
  • Mathematics, which tests quantitative and algebraic problem solving
  • Science, which includes life science, physical science, earth and space science
  • Social Studies, which includes civics and government, U.S. history, economics, geography and the world

New Students

Complete the online application for 青青草视频. Click on 'Apply' and then 'Start New Application'.

Note: While completing the application, select First Time in College and No Diploma

Returning Students

Log on to your . If you forgot your SFID number or your password, click on 'Login Help' at the top of the page. Read any notifications and complete a readmit if indicated.

Students ages 16 and 17 should talk with a parent/guardian and school counselor to make sure Adult Education is the right option. If so, get an official withdrawal form that says you are enrolling in a GED program and bring that form to the intake specialist at the campus of your choice.

Contact or visit an intake specialist

This specialist will give you information on program orientation activities, entry assessment (TABE testing), and fee payment. The Adult Education program costs $30 per semester.
