SF Baseball: Saints Hold Off Daytona State for Series-Opening Victory

The Santa Fe Saints started their conference series against Daytona State College with a strong offensive showing, coming away with an on Thursday.
Daytona State scored first with a run in the second inning, but the Saints quickly answered with a run of their own. SF took control in the fourth, bringing three runs across the plate, then added four more in the fifth to stretch the lead to 8-1. Daytona State closed the gap late, but the Saints stayed in front to take the win.
Now 9-9 on the season, the Saints travel to Daytona on Saturday for a doubleheader.
