SF Softball: Saints Score, Stifle and Sweep St. Pete

The Santa Fe Saints traveled to St. Petersburg College on Tuesday for a conference doubleheader and came away with two wins. The Saints edged out a close in the first game before shutting down St. Petersburg鈥檚 offense in a 6-0 win in game two.
SF took an early lead in the first game and held on late to secure the win. The second game was all Saints, with runs in the first, third and fifth innings building a 3-0 lead. A big sixth inning added three more runs, sealing the shutout.
The 17-12 Saints return home on Tuesday, March 18, for a doubleheader against the College of Central Florida. The first game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
