International Opportunities

Overview

You don't have to study abroad to be involved in international opportunities at 青青草视频. The Office of International Education (OIE) hosts several international lectures, events, virtual exchanges, and global photography contests on campus every semester that are open to all SF students, faculty and staff.

To broaden global perspectives while attending SF, students are encouraged to participate in the Global Scholars Program, an academic honor鈥痚arned by completing courses鈥痺ith strong international content and engaging in activities鈥痶hat broaden your understanding鈥痮f international peoples, places and cultures.

Events

OIE hosts and is represented at many events each semester. These events are great opportunities for students to learn about international activities and how to get involved in them.

Global Conversations Caf茅 Series

Join us each week on Wednesdays at 12:30pm in S-329 or via Zoom for a Global Conversations Caf茅 (GCC)!

Each week will feature different global topics, grab-and-go global goodie bags to match the week's theme, and great conversation.

We will allow a limited number of students to join in person, and everyone is welcome to join virtually. If you are interested, please for the dates you would like to join. Once you register, you will receive more information about each GCC you signed up for and how to join.

We Are Global Citizens Fest

Join us for a week filled with international education events to celebrate the importance of cultural and global understanding. The week will feature various types of events, lectures, and other types of activities. You can find a list of and register for the ones you are interested in by clicking the sign up form link below.

Note: Each event is worth Global Scholars Program activity points.

International Virtual Exchanges

OIE offers a number of international virtual exchange opportunities for students to participate in each semester. These exchanges connect SF students to international students in countries like Ukraine, Brazil, Indonesia, and more. They are wonderful opportunities to learn about new cultures, share your own culture, and develop useful global skills like cross-cultural communication.

360掳 Global Learning Experience

The Study Abroad Association's 360掳 Global Learning Experience software allows you to travel to Italy, Greece, and England from anywhere through a virtual learning experience. Take a journey through the ancient streets of these countries and immerse yourself in their rich histories, cultures, and more.

All SF students and faculty have access to this software for free! Simply use your SF email to sign up through the link below.

If you are enrolled in the Global Scholars Program, you can earn activity points for developing a project from your exploration of these countries. If you have questions or would like to brainstorm project ideas, please email ieo@sfcollege.edu.
