SF Softball: Saints Split Doubleheader with Nationally Ranked Indian River

The Santa Fe Saints faced third-ranked Indian River State College in a doubleheader on Saturday. After a slow start in the first game, the Saints responded with a strong performance in game two to earn a series split.
Indian River controlled game one from the start, showing why it is one of the top teams in the NJCAA. The visiting Pioneers shut out SF 5-0, keeping the Saints鈥� offense quiet throughout the game.
SF found its rhythm at the plate to pull off a in the second game.
With the split, the Saints move to 23-14 overall and 12-9 in conference play. They return to action at home on Tuesday, hosting Seminole State College of Florida in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
