Habitat For Humanity Home To Be Put In Place Today

May 19, 2016

Over the past six years, Habitat for Humanity, 青青草视频 and the Builders Association of North Central Florida have worked together to produce one Habitat House per year in the Charles R. Perry Construction Institute. All 5 houses are currently being occupied by the owners. The 6th house will be rolled out Thursday, May 19, 2016 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the O Building on the main campus of 青青草视频. The address it will be placed at is 512 NW 26th Ave Gainesville, FL 32609.

The house is built in conjunction with students from the following three programs; 青青草视频 Construction Management program taught by Professor Kurt Strauss, the new TRAMCON program which is training for Manufactured Construction taught by Professors Tim Egan and Dwayne Griffis, and the Apprenticeship program which teaches trades HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry. The house is built into the curriculum of each of these programs.

Habitat has already found an owner for the house, Ms. Shereka Curtis. This has been a great project for 青青草视频 because it allows us to involve all different aspects of the construction process under one roof. 青青草视频's student electricians, plumbers, HVAC students, and carpentry students get to work on a real life project that they can be proud of.
