Financial planning workshops for FRS-covered employees Oct. 20 and 21

The Florida Retirement System is offering free financial planning workshops via webcast for FRS-covered employees. The workshops will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Oct. 21, and will be on the following topics:
- Tuesday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m.-noon ET - Using the FRS to Plan for Retirement
- Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1-3 p.m. ET 鈥� Investment Planning for Everyone 鈥� The Basics
- Wednesday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. -noon ET - Nearing Retirement in the FRS
- Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1-3 p.m. ET 鈥� New Employee Retirement Plan Choice
Employees wishing to register for these workshops should call 1-866-446-9377, Option 2, or go to (after login, select "Attend a Workshop," then "WEBINAR" under the County drop-down box, then select the workshop they would like to attend).
Employees who sign up to attend an online workshop will receive details for logging in and participating a few days prior to the workshop.
Employees in the Tallahassee area can attend the workshops in person at the State Board of Administration, 1801 Hermitage Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
