青青草视频 is shipping out its second Habitat for Humanity house, the Santa Fe II, at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 19. The house was built in two sections and is being transported on flat-bed trailers to a wooded, residential lot at 3900 SE 13th Terr. (32641) in Robinson Heights off SE 15th St. The entire process should be completed by 11:30 a.m.
The house is a collaborative effort of the Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF), which sponsors the college's Apprenticeship programs; Alachua Habitat for Humanity; Bank of America, which donated $65,000 to Habitat for the project; and Santa Fe's Construction Management Technology and Apprenticeship classes.
The three bedroom, two bath, 1,248 square-foot house was started in August 2011. The Construction Techniques 1 and 2 classes built the house during the hands-on segments of their classes in the Construction Management program. Volunteers from our Student Builders Association, SF Student Government, and Habitat for Humanity worked together on the home. A local family contributed 400 hours of sweat equity and will assume the home's mortgage.
