Sing Into Spring at 青青草视频 April 22

April 22, 2010

For more than a decade the Santa Fe Singers have welcomed spring with a choral concert. This year's event, Sing Into Spring, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22 at the Northwest Campus' E Building Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the general public.

More than 40 singers will fill the stage and auditorium with a mixture of classics and contemporary music. The 75-minute show will include traditional works such as Vivaldi's 鈥淕loria鈥 as well as Big Band hits like 鈥淏oogie Woogie Bugle Boy.鈥 Broadway gets a nod with 鈥淒on't Let Nobody Bring Me No Bad News,鈥 from the musical 鈥淭he Wiz.

Lynn Sandefur, director of choral and ensembles, has brought special guest star Bradley Small, a former SF student, who will perform a couple of Michael Jackson songs as well as a medley of his hits. Small is reported to even look like the late singer.

Sandefur has made her selections to include a piece from every genre while keeping the tone on the light side, in keeping with the coming of spring. On several of the numbers, the Santa Fe Jazz Ensemble will lend musical support.
